About Dr Warren Van Zyl
I was born in Durban, South Africa and attended Beachwood Boys High School before graduating with an HDE from Edgewood Teachers Training College in 1987.
After teaching for a year at Glenwood Boys High School in Durban and a short stint in the East End of London, I received a rugby scholarship to attend Life University in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. I graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree in 1994 specialising in sports injuries and worked with South African sports teams - Springboks & Sharks rugby and Proteas & Dolphins cricket.
In 2001 I began practicing more mind & body techniques including Meditation & Hypnotherapy to reduce stress & increase energy and in 2004 I attended the Ninth International Congress on Ericksonian Approaches to Hypnosis and Psychotherapy held in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. During 2005 I received further training in Ego State Therapy through the Milton Erickson Institute of South Africa.
In 2006 I published my first book, Just Being who you really are and in 2008 I published Celebrity Chiropractic.
In 2009 I attended the world’s largest gathering of psychotherapists at the Evolution of Psychotherapy in Anaheim, California, held once every 5 years. In December 2009 I also attended my first Matrix Energetics Seminar and completed my practitioner certification in San Diego, California in August 2010 and Level 4 Journey to Self-Mastery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 2011.
In 2010 I was appointed as the Mental Conditioning coach for the Sharks rugby team to add to my role as their Sports Chiropractor of 15 years. Mental Focus for Success can be applied to all areas of our lives. Just as sportsmen & women learn to 'stay in the zone', so too can you apply the same methods to achieve your goals & avoid distractions.
After 27 years of experience in mind and body healing I am in a unique position to offer you a holistic approach to well-being. As we age we need to practice prevention & maintenance more than ever before!
